The Hellenic Robotics Center of Excellence HERON (heron-robotics-coe.eu) and the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA – ntua.gr/en) are offering fully funded PhD positions in cutting-edge robotics and artificial intelligence research.

About HERON

HERON is Greece’s first Robotics Center of Excellence, funded under the European Union’s Horizon Europe Widening Program (Teaming for Excellence). Our mission is to advance robotics science and technology in the AI era while driving industrial innovation.

International Collaboration: HERON brings together the Athena Research Center (coordinating partner), leading Greek university professors, and two prestigious international partners: the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT) and the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).

  6. Robot Learning and Intelligent Control in Dexterous, Agile and Collaborative Robotics
  7. Telerobotic Surgery and Haptics
  8. Cognitive Robotic Systems for Human Assistance and Rehabilitation
