Participation in CAIR Symposium in AI & Robotics 2026

On January 8, 2026, HERON Deputy Director, Dr. Evangelos Papadopoulos, Em. Professor, NTUA, gave a talk at the 2026 CAIR Symposium in AI & Robotics, hosted by the New York University at Abu Dhabi. The symposium, which is by invitation only, serves as a platform for sharing knowledge, fostering innovative ideas, and encouraging meaningful academic and industry collaboration. The talk by Dr. Papadopoulos was entitled “Space Robots for In-Orbit Servicing Become a Reality,” and was well attended and received.

Two more researchers affiliated with HERON, participated in the Symposium, i.e., Dr. George Pappas (member of the HERON Scientific Advisory Council) and Dr. Darwin Caldwell (Founding Director of IIT, a HERON partner).
