HERON AND IRO/Athena RC Participation in IROS 2025
HERON Robotics Center of Excellence with the Robotics Institute of Athena Research Center marked a double participation in this year’s IROS international robotics conference, held at the Hangzhou International Expo Center in China from October 19 to 25, 2025.
The first participation was by Professor Panagiotis Vartholomeos, an adjunct researcher with HERON and AthenaRC, who presented his work in research on surgical robotics, while the second participation was by Dr. Panagiotis Filntisis, a researcher of HERON and AthenaRC, who presented research development in robotics applications in agriculture.
IROS (International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems) is one of the greatest international conferences in the field of Robotics R&D, bringing together researchers, academics, and industry representatives in robotics applications from all over the world.
