23–25 Sep 2026 HERON at the 5th Teaming Club Conference 2026 in Riga
HERON participated in the 5th Teaming Club Conference 2026 (TCC 2026), held in Riga, Latvia, on 23–25 September, bringing together Centres of Excellence from across Europe under the theme “Connect. Collaborate. Create Impact.” The three-day program focused on key issues for the development and long-term sustainability of Teaming Centres, including industry engagement, competitive research funding, complementary funding, exploitation of research results, and institutional autonomy.
HERON CoE was represented by Dr. GregoryYovanof, Executive Manager, presenting the perspective of a 4th-generation Teaming Centre of Excellence. HERON aims to establish Greece’s first Robotics CoE, advancing robotics research and technology in the AI era while strengthening links with industrial innovation.
As part of the conference’s interactive “Teaming Coffee with Added Value,” Dr. Yovanof moderated the discussion table on “Industry Involvement.” The session provided an opportunity for Teaming CoEs at different stages of development to exchange practical experiences on building effective relationships with industry and strengthening the pathway from research excellence to innovation and market impact.
HERON also participated actively in the B2B Matchmaking between Teaming CoEs, engaging in a series of one-to-one discussions to explore potential collaborations, exchange experience, and identify opportunities for future joint initiatives.
Participation in TCC 2026 supports HERON’s broader internationalisation strategy and its objective of building strong links with the European network of Centres of Excellence.
