2nd HERON Scientific Advisory Council Meeting

On Saturday, 18 July 2026, the second Scientific Advisory Council (SAC) Meeting of HERON – the Hellenic Robotics Center of Excellence was held in a hybrid format, bringing together the Scientific Advisory Council members and the HERON team.

The meeting provided an opportunity to present HERON’s latest developments, key achievements and strategic priorities, while receiving valuable feedback and guidance from the members of the Scientific Advisory Council.

The program opened with a presentation of HERON’s key achievements by HERON Director. During the meeting, members of the HERON team presented updates on the implementation of the project’s work packages, covering operational activities, infrastructure development, collaboration with project partners, as well as educational, communication and dissemination activities.

The presentations were followed by an extensive and constructive discussion with the Scientific Advisory Council. Council members shared their perspectives and recommendations regarding HERON’s scientific direction, organizational development and future priorities.

The second SAC Meeting reaffirmed HERON’s commitment to advancing excellence in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, strengthening cooperation among research, industry and society, and building a sustainable national Center of Excellence with strong international visibility.
