HERON Presence at AIM 2026

HERON was proudly represented at AIM 2026, the IEEE/ASME International Conference on Advanced Intelligent Mechatronics, held on July 7–10, 2026, in Genoa, Italy.

HERON members Prof. Evangelos Papadopoulos , Asst. Prof. Panagiotis Vartholomeos , senior researchers Dr. George Moustris and Dr. Katerina Smyrli, and PhD students Lydia Gialama and Nikolaos Leventakis attended AIM 2026 in person and presented four papers showcasing research across several areas of robotics and intelligent mechatronics.

The papers were first-authored by HERON researchers Lydia Gialama, Nikolaos Leventakis, Aikaterini Smyrli, and George Moustris, under the supervision of Prof. Evangelos Papadopoulos , Prof. Costas Tzafestas , and Asst. Prof. Panagiotis Vartholomeos .

We are honored to contribute to the robotics and advanced intelligent mechatronics research community and to disseminate HERON’s research findings at one of the world’s leading conferences on robotics, automation and AI-enabled physical systems.
